Honda Day Atco 2012
Apr 22nd
At the time of writing, it’s about been about a day and half since the weekend of Honda Day Atco 2012. While everything is still fresh it’s still hard to start. If I could describe the event in one word it would be “Historic”. Atco made adjustments to last year’s historic single day event, including a 5-acre parking area and with that addition the Atco 2012 was declared sold out by 12:30PM on Sunday, and was forced to open at 5AM in the rain instead of 8AM due to traffic. Truly showing that Honda fans are some of the most dedicated, car enthusiasts you will ever meet.

Atco 2012 was historic in two ways: One, it being the first time the event being held at Atco Raceway was a two-day event. Two, it was the biggest event in the 54 year history of the racetrack, to give you a visual of the magnitude, the photo below was taken at 8:03AM and cars were already being directed to secondary lots
Saturday’s weather could not have been better. One of the huge benefits of it being a two-day event is it gives the opportunity to enthusiasts that don’t reside locally the chance to come to out and truly enjoy their weekend. With the help of some local hotels in the Atco area we offered a discount on rooms and nicknamed it“Honda Day Discount”. Enthusiasts truly came all over world; everywhere ranging from Toronto Canada, California, and Japan were in attendance. The weekend consisted of everything from dance contests to a marriage proposal.

It was a pleasure to be a host to many enthusiasts whom never experienced Honda Day before, especially since they were all very impressed with our Saturday venue. Loud music, pets, pretty girls and generation of families are synonymous with Honda Day and of course. Giveaways ranging anywhere between t-shirts, electronic devices and of course the car, The Project Honda Day car to be exact
It always amazing to see the event finally come together after months of planning and working on getting where it needs to be every year. Countless hours prepping on tying loose ends in an attempt to make everything perfect. The diversity of all people of all cultures coming together for a single cause is the bigger picture. For a weekend that many guests will never forget, including Mike McCall of New Jersey winning our Project Honda Day Atco 2012 EP3 and our Honda Day Atco winners

The locals represented this year as well, If you missed out this weekend on Honda Day Atco 2012, you can always make it up for Honda Day E-Town August 11th & 12th. View below for results of the races, highlights as well as more winners. Complete coverage coming soon!

For our last video of the Project Honda Day Atco EP3 we visit Import DPS Philly headquarters with Randy from RS Tech to tune the Hondata KPro Powered Si. After some adjustments on the cams Randy works his magic and got the EP3 to reach 190hp on 93Pump Fuel. Not bad for an ’03 EP3 with stock bottom end and a couple bolt ons. Come this weekend and enter in the raffle, maybe you’ll be the lucky winner of this nice hatch. See you at Honda Day Atco on April 14th – 15th 2012

Honda Day is more than just an Event. It’s a group of hardworking people like you and I that celebrate our automotive passion and love in Honda’s. That’s why the Honda Day Crew gets together months before each Honda Day Event to start a fresh new build, one that is given away at Honda Day in a free raffle.
If you saw Part 1 of “Project Honda Day Atco 2012″ the car was dropped off to get a full fresh paint job at DTT Customs. Here on Part 2 we took a trip to Dynamic Performance in Hillsborough, NJ where Hater Ed and McSlick were hard at work installing a new set of Skunk2 Coilover Suspension, EP3 Type R Brakes and Euro R Wheels to go along with the Seibon Carbon Fiber Mugen Replica EP3 Wing and Carbon Fiber Hood.

The New York State Of Mind
Mar 19th
Car enthusiasts have benefited tremendously from the internet. Creatively pushing enthusiasts to new limits and inspiring others to express themselves artistically. The internet has also exposed commonalities and certain things you would expect from a particular area of region of where the car is built. As with anything, being inspired to what’s around us, you can expect a car from the West Coast to be clean and one from the East to be fast, by commonality.
With that said, trends come and go, and as big as the Honda community is, most branch off to certain trends or styles of the community itself and areas particularly known for certain trends. When you think of New York we are almost certain nothing “major” rings a bell, if you’re fond of the internet you may have heard about the fast cars and that’s the beauty of the internet itself.
Exposing things you may never seen or heard of, of course the potholes, winter season’s and diversity, but nothing major on a Honda enthusiast can associate or point out. It’s not particularly a dream to drive neither, unless you seriously know how to drive. Jismark’s EG is a prime example of something that stands out, appeals to all enthusiasts of all areas. It represents NYC for what it is, fast, witty, and well rounded (pun intended). Appealing to all branches and classes of the culture. If you’ve never seen his car circulating on the internet, allow Honda Day to be the first to show.
