Honda Day by OGS1320 debuted in 2002, at Englishtown Raceway Park as a drag racing event specifically for Honda and Acura owners. In over a decade
Honda Day has grown into the world’s largest (unofficial) Honda and Acura enthusiast lifestyle events that draw attendees from around the world.
Honda Day has grown into weekend long events that give attendees the opportunity to watch some of the country’s fastest Hondas compete on the dragway or enjoy the live entertainment on the main stage with DJ’s and hosts who involve the crowd with contests each day. It’s rare to see an attendee leave empty-handed as the Honda Day hosts give away prizes from sponsors all weekend long and the vendor midway is occupied with dozens of vendor booths consisting of sponsors and manufacturers alike. Attendees also have the opportunity to browse through a professionally judged car show consisting of over 1,000 participants with some of the best built Hondas in the nation competing for cash and trophy awards.
THANK YOU to everyone who attended the 1st Honda Day at Orlando Speed World Dragway in Florida on September 21st and 22nd!
The vendor midway was ready for the thousands of attendees before dawn each day with vendors who traveled from as far as Canada and California to sell and/or display the latest car parts, apparel, and car accessories.
Racers from as far as New York traveled down to Florida to compete. The grand stands on the drag strip was packed all weekend long to watch the Competition Clutch 10.50 index, Xenocron 11.50 index, EAT SLEEP RACE Sport FWD, K-Tuned All Motor, and Brian Crower/Supertech Pro Stock classes.
MC Slick, DJ Frankie 5, and DJ Distrakshun entertained the crowd all weekend long at the main stage. Music was provided by DJ L Nino and Jay Jung who flew in from New York and kept the crowd moving. There were tons of sponsor giveaways being thrown out each day; not to mention a dance competition, human VTEC challenge, and harlem shake battle.
One of the highlights during the event was Project Honda Day. Every attendee had a FREE chance to win a 2001 Type R with a DC5R Motorswap. We’d like to thank all companies who supported this project: Falken Tire, K-Tuned, Gram Light Wheels (Mackin Industries), Spoon Sports, K Sport, Hasport, and DTT Customs.
The official Honda Day models were around by the giveaway car all weekend long and taking pictures with attendees.
The car show had hundreds of the finest cars in the southeast on display including cars that traveled from as far as New York to be part of the event!

We would like to thank everyone who supported and attended the first Honda Day outside of NJ in Orlando, FL! Thousands of Honda and Acura enthusiasts traveled from across the US to the third Honda Day of 2013 at Orlando Speed World Dragway. The energy at the event lasted all weekend long as spectators had the option to watch some of the country’s fastest Hondas compete on the dragway or enjoy the live entertainment on the main stage with DJ’s and hosts who were flown in from the tristate. Attendees had the chance to check out the latest parts and accessories from our sponsors who traveled from as far as California and Canada to display in the vendor midway that was surrounded by hundreds of some of the finest Hondas and Acuras that were displayed in the car show with many proud owners who traveled from as far as New York to be a part of the event.
Honda Day has grown over the past decade to become the world’s largest un-official Honda and Acura gathering. Throughout the past 10 years, safety during our events has been a top priority and we consider all sponsors and attendees as part of the Honda Day family. With that being said we don’t like when anyone messes with our family… especially thieves.
For the Orlando event we did everything within our company’s power to make sure our attendees and their vehicles were safe in the event and in the spectator parking lots by hiring private uniformed and undercover security as well as dozens of sheriffs to secure the event.
Despite the great weekend, unfortunately there were rumors that we would like to publicly address. After starting our research immediately after the event, weeks after we received confirmation by the Orange County Sheriffs department that there were NO incident reports filed during the weekend at the event or at the official hotel. Unfortunately, we did receive reports of incidents outside and after the event that were beyond our control. We did confirm that vehicles were stolen from local hotels (again, none were stolen at the official hotel). As Honda owners and enthusiasts we console with those owners who lost their vehicles.
Most recently, just days after we received confirmation by the OC Sheriffs dept. that there were no incidents filed, we received terrible news from our friends at K-Tuned. The day after the event the Honda Day staff was with the K-Tuned staff at the track to ensure their cargo boxes were packed. After both staff left the track, days later the boxes were picked up by a freight company and delivered to their office in Canada. Unfortunately, the boxes were empty when they received them. The boxes contained their booth displays, products bolted to displays, and display engines. With only weeks left until SEMA this has caused a large amount of stress to the entire team at K-Tuned.
We are not taking these thefts lightly and are in the top of our minds on how to plan for the future. As safety is a top priority for all of our attendees and participants we will continue to improve security and layout at our future events. To help deter thefts outside of the events, we will hire private security to patrol official Honda Day hotels that we will recommend attendees to stay at and provide security at no additional cost to our attendees in an effort to make sure everyone has a great and memorable weekend.
One lucky attendee is going to win the Acura DC2 Integra Type R with a DC5R K-Series swap for FREE! All you have to do for a chance to win is attend Honda Day on September 21 and 22 at Orlando Speed World Dragway and stop by our contest booth to sign up!
